Thanks Marsai. We are inundated with Black pain and trauma on a daily basis. In the greater world and in the arts. There is so much more to us. I'm glad her production company is focusing on Black joy. We don't see enough of it. Just as science fiction helps us imagine better futures, her projects (and hopefully more like them) can help us celebrate and envision a more well rounded existence for Black people. It might be a tiny drop of light in a murky sea, but it's a start.
